I visited Harbor Light Restaurant today after reading so many amazing reviews, and I was really excited to finally try it myself. First off, the location is super convenient right along the highway, which makes it an easy stop whether you’re traveling through or just looking for a nice meal nearby. When I arrived, there was about a 12–20 minute wait before being seated, but honestly that’s usually a good sign that a place is popular and worth it. Once seated, I immediately noticed how clean and well-kept everything was. The dining area felt fresh and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Best food in the Reedsport / Winchester Bay area! Great flavor, high quality, fair portions. Family-friendly atmosphere with outdoor seating option. It was busy when we arrived, but that didn't affect the quick and responsive service that we received.

We stopped in on our way home from a coastal camping trip and was happily surprised by the quality food and service! Clam chowder was so good we bought some to take home! Onion rings were perfectly crisp and huge! We will definitely stop in again!

We arrived thirty minutes before close expecting to hurry so that staff could finish their night. We were immediately happily greeted and seated, and felt absolutely no sense of urgency from the staff. We asked for advice from our server, and she ended up providing excellent recommendations! This place has mostly seafood and elk, and a couple sold out lobster options at the time of our visit. We had halibut with onion rings and cod with onion rings. The fish was cooked to perfection! Being raised by a seafood broker, I have spent my life sampling the best of the best. The oil temperature was high enough to get a light and crisp breading with firm and flaky fish. This small, family-oriented restaurant is an absolute gem on the Oregon Coast. Hands down, it serves the best clam chowder on the coast—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. What really sets it apart is the option to top your chowder with fresh seafood, which takes it to another level. The crab cakes are amazing—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and definitely a must-order. To start, do yourself a favor and get the calamari or the crab cakes (or both). You won’t regret it. For the main course, the Fish and Chips or the Combo Platter are my go-to choices, and they never disappoint. Everything is cooked perfectly, fresh, and consistently outstanding.
