Hanok is such a gem! I've been eating here often since moving into the neighborhood, and their dishes are delicious. Whenever I have friends or family visit from out of town, this turns into their favorite restaurant. The owners are very kind and offer great service! It's a cozy space, so make sure to call ahead for a reservation if you plan to go during dinner. They often get booked up, and they will have to start turning away people around 7/7:30 p.m. They make their kimchis in-house, and I love it! Because they make it themselves, that also means their kimchi flavor will vary slightly depending on the stage if fermentation. Their seasoning is great though, so I've enjoyed it in all stages! I highly recommend the Dolsot Bibimbap for first-timers. (Make sure to get the Dolsot which is
The kimchi jjigae was so comforting and flavorful, and the bibimbap in a sizzling pot with crispy rice on the bottom was insane. Authentic Korean food, nourishing and satisfying, with super cozy vibes. Honestly one of the best Korean meals ever—such a vibe!!❤️🥰
ordered the dakgomtang + kimchi jjigae and it was excellent! came with purple rice (iykyk), which my partner and i love!! a filling meal that doesn't skimp out on ingredients– left feeling so incredibly satisfied! was served by the owner, who was lovely and kind. highly recommend this resto for those who want some hearty korean food 🙏
Great food overall! The hot stone dish was a tasty and fun experience, and the stir-fried veggie noodles were perfect. Atmosphere was okay, but the location is excellent—just a short walk to Lake Washington. Sake was just okay. Worth a visit!
I enjoyed the cozy, quiet and hospitable atmosphere, like dining at a good friend’s house. Street parking can be challenging during peak hour. Or parking around the neighborhood. Sizzling corn cheese and deep fried seaweed clear noodles are my favorite appetizers. After dining, take a walk to Lake Washington for breeze and sunshine.
