Hangout Ramen

For New Orleans, I’ll give their ramen a solid 5 star for this city. It’s Nola so I’d normally give it a 4/4.5 in general, which is still very good compared to other Ramen shops in Houston-Dallas-Austin-Taipei. I’ll have to come back again to try their rolls and other dishes. But for my first time after driving by a dozen times, I enjoyed it. Random: They have a roll called the “Utah roll.” Lol. They don’t have eels in Utah and Utah is not known for any food. So it’s a weird name, and I visit Utah 2-3x a year for the last decade.

Hangout Ramen was good. Pretty good value for the entrees, I’d recommend getting the meat plates (served with side of rice). Gets up to $15-25 per person, so come hungry and you will definitely enjoy. Chicken teriyaki was good.

We live in a time where it almost feel’s as if people are losing their integrity to uphold their reputation when it comes to restaurants. Hangout Ramen went above and beyond to make sure our delivery order was taken care of after we were missing some items. The food is absolutely delicious and you can taste the quality in their ingredients. If there’s a mistake they make things right and let me tell you their customer service is by far one of the best I’ve ever seen. I appreciate it so much and the food is 1000/10!!! Highly recommend if you’re seeking quality over quantity. Thank you Hangout Ramen for having pride in what you do. You all are a gem in a world that seems to be overran by coal. I ordered the salt and pepper tofu and spicy cucumber salad. Tofu for its price gets 5 stars. It was a nice portion, however it loses a star for old veggies. The spicy cucumber salad gets a 1 star. It’s just HOT. That’s it. There’s no flavor, no seasoning and it doesn’t even look like the photo. It’s not cut the same! It was so hot, I couldn’t enjoy a single bite. Disappointed that half my meal is inedible.

Generous portion of ramen, the soup is not too salty or greasy, just perfect. Fast service and friendly staff. Great dining experience, highly recommended authentic Japanese ramen shop!
