Goosefeather

After watching the latest Tournament of Champions: All-Star Christmas season, one of the chefs highlighted, Dale Talde, happened to be the owner this restaurant. We decided to check it out and see what their brunch offerings were, and they do have select bottomless drinks for an added price as well. For an appetizer, we started with the sausage egg and cheese scallion pancake, which had wonderful flavor throughout every bite, great texture on the pancake itself and the cheese was perfectly melted. The only complaint is that I wish there was more! Our main dishes consisted of smoked salmon fried rice and the BBQ stir fry noodles. Both dishes were beautifully presented, and the portions on both were more than sufficient. The noodles on the stir fry were my personal favorite, cooked perfectly

My experience at Goosefeather was a fascinating study in contrasts, though the kitchen’s brilliance ultimately won me over. Located in a beautiful setting, the restaurant offers a "Top Chef" dining experience that feels modern and upscale. However, the initial impression was a bit rocky; the hosting staff at the reservation stand lacked the polish you’d expect from a fine-dining establishment. There was some awkwardness regarding our arrival and a strange insistence on closing out bar tabs before moving to a table, rather than simply transferring them. I stayed in a Kings Mansion suite so I ate at Goosefeather for 5 days in a row. I'm going to say that I do not think this restaurant really reflects Asian cuisine but it does delightfully include Cantonese and even Filipino elements. First off, I'm going to tell you my absolutely favorite dishes are the brussel sprouts(ordered twice), the king pao chicken wings(ordered twice) and the crown of duck(would order again). The duck is honestly the one thing that tasted like Peking duck, and the Hong Kong toast was a nice change from the usual pancakes that come with Peking duck. Stopped here before a wedding. Definitely an interesting place, expect American takes on familiar chinese dishes and flavors The setting is an old colonial home which was definitely a fun vibe If you are in the area worth checking out. They also had a decent list of interesting and unique cocktails The dry aged beef potstickers were insane - must try. The other item that blew my mind was the side salad that came with the pork belly, the pork was very tasty but the side salad was top notch flavor combo

One of the best Asian restaurants in Westchester! Apps and entrees were all hits with the table. The crispy rice and black pepper beef was probably our favorite. Cocktails were also great and the server was very knowledgeable on pairings. The desserts had more of a mixed reaction but our group all had dessert different preferences. Can't wait to go back and try the other menu items.
