Ginger Cafe

Ordered two green curries and an udon. The udon was fine, but the curries were awful — no coconut milk, barely any curry flavor, and swimming in a thick layer of grease. When I called to complain, I was told the curries were “pre-made,” then the chef got on the phone, yelled that this was “how curry is supposed to be,” and started using vulgar language. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I won’t ever return. (I have photos showing the oil slick on top.)

I have never dined in but I always get to go. I popped in last week while in the area, so it had been some time since I had dined from here. Whoever i speak to to place my order & who i pick it from are always friendly. It is a cute location so maybe i should dine in...at least once? Last week i opted for the Thai Peanut chicken...it was delicious! I only ate about 1/3 of it so it was just as tasty several hours later for dinner. Thanks Ginger Cafe for the consistently delicious food & friendly service!

i ordered general Tso's on the lunch special for 14.00 fair enough i also ordered it spicy. it came with 6 pieces of chicken that tasted like crispy syrup. i ordered egg rolls as well and they were just better than ok. my total for lunch was over 23.00. i guess what I'm saying is the food isn't worth the price. the lady that helped me was very friendly

I've heard this is one of the best Asian places in the anoka Ramsey area so I was looking forward to finally trying it out. Unfortunately my experience is not what other may have had. I only ordered the Pho soup which is normally a delicious dish. My meal came with very little meat and there was only 2 meatballs and some beef. Pho soup normally comes with tendon, steak, tripe and brisket as well. If any of these meat were included they were not visible at all. The noodles had a different consistency than most rice noodles but maybe that's because I didn't mix it in the broth until I got home 10 minutes after picking it up. Overall it was mediocre at best. I will definitely go back and try other dishes and when I do I'll be quick to update my review and include any positive experiences. The

The Ginger Café is a hidden jewel. Seven of us dined there at lunchtime on a Saturday. There was soft music playing in the background, simple decor, nice ambiance. The bathrooms were clean. The waitress was excellent. She was everything one could ask for in a waitress. The food was fresh and flavorful. They accommodated dietary changes in our group. The prices were fair. We will be back again!! Thank you!
