The rice ball was delicious. Once mixed with fish roe, the texture became more interesting and the seasoning was well balanced. The beef soup looked light and clear, but the flavor was surprisingly rich and there was a generous amount of meat. The chicken feet were quite spicy and decent overall, though for my personal taste I would have preferred them to be softer. They were still a bit too chewy. The sliced pork knuckle is one of their signature dishes. The flavor was good, but after taking it home and reheating it, the meat became much firmer. It is probably better enjoyed fresh at the restaurant. The dining space is spacious and bright, and everything felt clean. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience.
This place is known for gamjatang, but the spicy jokbal is next level 😎 Tastes amazing both in-store and as takeout 😉 seriously, still so good even at home. The gamjatang has zero gamy smell, super clean flavor. The jokbal was super tender and perfectly chewy 😋 absolutely loved it!
The jokbal and makguksu were delicious and very reasonably priced. For two people, the medium jokbal $40 and makguksu noodle around $20. We got the half and half for the jokbal which had original and spicy flavor. The side dishes and eveything were really good.
Highly recommend the bossam! It’s such a unique way to eat pork. In my view, this restaurant’s a little pricey but food is still delicious. Their potato pancake is also very fatty and juicy; full of flavor!
Honestly, the food is quite 4 stars. It’s not super seasoned, which is good or bad depending on personal preference. However, the last time we came on Chuseok they gave me a free tub of kimchi. It stuck with me, so I’ll always have a special place in my heart for them.
