Customer Reviews
Dining at Galatoire’s is more than a meal — it’s an experience rooted in New Orleans tradition. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels timeless, lively, and full of character. The service is attentive in a way that makes you feel like a long‑time regular, even on your first visit. The menu highlights classic Creole dishes prepared with care and consistency. Every plate feels intentional, from the freshness of the seafood to the richness of the sauces. It’s the kind of place where you can taste the history in the food. Galatoire’s shines not just because of its reputation, but because it delivers on it. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply enjoying a night out, it offers a memorable blend of flavor, hospitality, and tradition that keeps people coming back.
The service was amazing! There were so many people helping each other out and the table was always without need. The food was great too! There is a dress code so be sure you know before you get in but their bar doesn't have one so in a pinch you can go next door and you'll have access to the whole menu. The atmosphere was amazing and I recommend dressing up and sitting at a table.
The perfect NOLA experience. Loved my trout amandine, the oysters Rockefeller, and sweetbreads. French silk - melted in your mouth. Can't wait to go back.
What a day! We spent the week in the Quarter and by far this was the best event of the trip!!! Galatoire's Friday Lunch is a must do experience! This was the one place my father in-law said "we must do", so not going wasn't an option. Just getting a reservation in and of it's self was a task because it's so iconic. My wife called months in advance to try and book, but due to the Halloween festivities it was almost impossible. A huge THANK YOU to Caroline Oliver. She was so nice, communicative, and accommodating working with us. We arrived early for our 11:30am reservations, but not to worry because their bar was already open. We passed through the dinning room as the service staff was in a lineup getting prepared for the day's service. Even though it was all business one server acknowl
We got stuffed in the back because my Dad didn't bring a suit jacket. I wouldn't have dressed up had I known. Food and service was good, but didn't live up to the hype. I've had better crab au gratin elsewhere in the city.
