Gaby's by the Lake

I was wanting to have a day trip to a restaurant situated on a lake and have lunch and enjoy the scenery I randomly found Gabby's on Google maps The ratings were good The pictures on the website or pretty good kind of had an idea what I would find when I got there I I drove a little less than 2 hours from my home to the restaurant using Android Auto when I was almost there according to Android Auto I started seeing signs for Ritz-Carlton and the maps on Android Auto show Gabby's on the shore of a lake but really didn't give me an indication that it had anything to do with the Ritz-Carlton however when I was according to Android Auto at the point of where I would park I was pulling into the entranceway of a very grand building made out of stone very nice architecture a very nice young man c

We have been here many times. We have loved it every time. But this time was especially special maybe because it was our honeymoon or maybe it was because of the beautiful service! We had the lobster grilled cheese and the ahi tuna Poké bowl and they were both unbelievable! However, the most special part of the day was our bartender and server named Bray. He is personal, talented, smart, and just an absolute blast to be with! We are so grateful for him making our day so special! Thank you, Gaby’s and also thank you so much, Bray!

Atmosphere and service were ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! Food was meh. The bbq nachos were amazing but the salmon dinner was super salty and the hoecake had zero flavor and the pasta was just ok. The blueberry crisp dessert was fantastic!! Our server Val was the best part of the meal! We got the nachos at the pool again the next day and they were even better. Maybe stick to apps and dessert or sandwiches here!! Pricy for food you don’t like!

Wow! The Ritz-Carlton on Lake Oconee maybe the best hidden gem in the south. If you’re looking for relaxation, golf and water sports this place is truly breathtaking. Gaby’s by the Lake is on the resort and the perfect complement to the relaxing atmosphere around. Situated right on the lake ,the drinks and food are excellent. My favorite spot is the table seating by the bar which is the perfect lunch or dinner spot after a day on the course!!
