Update: I stopped in early and we tried a cheddar and bacon croissant, a sticky bun and a bagel sandwich. All delicious. Next time an almond croissant and a cinnamon roll. Stopped in late in the day but I was able to grab some delicious cookies. The snickerdoodle, chocolate chip and coconut macaroons were delicious. Soft, chewy and melt in your mouth! I will definitely be back to try some other pastries!

Absolutely love this place! I love the spinach artichoke danish. That’s my favorite! I started getting their pastries when they would come to the local farmers markets and holiday markets when I was in Haywood County but now I always drive by their shop when I’m in the area. It’s a great treat.

I stopped by this morning as we left Black Mountain and purchased a jalapeño cheddar bagel and a chocolate croissant. The bagel was delicious, but that chocolate croissant was absolutely amazing! Crunchy on the outside with the perfect chew and an amazing amount of chocolate! I’ve been eating low-carb for several months and this was the perfect place to enjoy some pastries before getting back on plan. Highly recommended!

So, this is a small bakery attached to the semi-legendary Red Rocker Inn. It's a few blocks off the main drag in Black Mountain, but worth the trip. The baked goods are excellent, but the real claim to fame is the repurposed claw machine outside in which they place their day old pastries. For 4 quarters, one gets unlimited attempts to snag a bacon croissant or almond roll or the like. More fun than you'd think.

Stopped here early in the morning before going hiking. I stood at the counter for a good 5 long minutes before someone came to the front to ask me my order. I think the baker was busy in back & the other person came in late so I know that had something to do with it. I believe I got a cinnamon roll since I was in a rush & didnt want anything that would take more time. It was filling & delicious!
