Five Guys

A somewhat unusual 5G's in Stamford CT just off the Merritt Pkwy; the seating is upstairs from where you order. This is no problem as 2nd floor seating is adequate, but the 1st floor waiting area is a little tight when a lot of customers are waiting. My order was good and was delivered quickly.

I have the bad luck of always getting a soggy, warm piece of lettuce that looks like a slimy leaf.-whenever I order this for delivery Lettuce is supposed to add crunch and offset the heat in a burger. It just doesn’t look or taste right. I normally take it out and swap it for my own lettuce. I shouldn’t have to do that for a $20 burger. I sent them an email with pictures after it happened three times in a row, and I never even got a reply. Fool me once… You also cannot ask for cold ingredients on the side. They won’t accommodate it. For this reason I don’t order from them often and instead pick up occasionally. It’s unfortunate because the burgers could be really good if they were fresher.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and grilled onions. I didn't ask for two patties but I got it and was charged for it. The total was $16 for the cheeseburger and a medium drink. Even though the quality of the meat was good, the lettuce was just a clump and was very pale. The pricing almost knocked me off my seat. I think these guys are sipping too much of their own bourbon. The service was just okay and I wouldn't say that the place was immaculate, as it should be. At this particular location there's no seating in the main area you have to take their elevator up to a second level and again it wasn't meticulously clean.

Travellers, this is a solid burger place. There are not a lot of options to choose from but what's there is good. A cut above a standard fast food burger place. Burgers are juicy and toppings are tasty. Lots of options in burgers. Fresh fries which are good too. The veggie sandwich was a bun jacked up with all toppings but no burger. It was okay. More expensive than your standard side-of-the-road burger place but worth the trip for sure. Check it out. We recommend. See

This location did not have milkshakes. And milkshakes were the only reason we stopped there. The cashier was a bit "cold" though. And she was quite hard to understand do to her thick foreign accent. When I first walked in the was quite a off putting smell of "dirty" restroom smell. You know like an overflowing toilet.
