Firehouse Subs Athens

Yesterday, after a long day without food, we stopped on the way home for a quick [late] lunch. Hubby ordered a sub with no bacon and I ordered a sub with no cheese .. we get the order, hop in the car, drive the 40 mins home, just to find bacon on my husband's sub and cheese on mine. We double checked the order ticket, and it clearly stated no bacon on his and no cheese on mine, so they messed up both sandwiches. We weren't about to drive all the way back to Athens to get this fixed, so we were stuck with what we had. While my husband was able to pick the bacon off of his, I wasn't able to remove the melted cheese from mine, and since I can't have dairy, my sandwich was not salvageable. Luis was terrible. I’m not usually one to complain about service but this was bad. He wouldn’t stop talking long enough to actually listen to our order. I’m not sure if he was just stoned out of his mind or if he’s always like that. I told him what I wanted for sure twice, possibly even 3 times due to him getting distracted by other employees and he still got the order completely wrong. Waste of $30.

Have been to this location multiple times and it’s overall terrible. Wait times can be up to 45+ minutes. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve said no cheese due to dairy allergy and have to have them remake. This time around I called in a to go order 40 minutes prior to arrival. I paid then had to wait 20 minutes for me to finally go up to register and ask them to read off the name of the to go order sitting on top of the bread toaster…which ended up being mine. Come to find out this sandwich order is also wrong…shocker. Athens peeps go somewhere else if your wanting a sandwich unless you want to wait forever and have your order come out wrong.

I ordered hook and ladder...no bread, carmalized onion, no mayo, no mustard, cucumber, extra pickle. The last 2 times I have ordered it has not been right. So glad I went in tonight.The staff did a very good job. Got my order perfect and in a timely matter. Thank you staff 12/ 6/25..5:38PM

Large and medium size sandwiches with a bag of chips and large soda drink $27. Worth it. They don't hold back on the sandwiches and great flavor. Highly recommend over their direct competitors in town.
