This is a true hidden gem of St. Louis. I have lived in STL my whole life and never thought there would be an authentic Filipino restaurant here. It seems like a family-run business and everything is homemade. I got the milkfish and it’s not even on the menu. I don’t think there are other restaurants here that have milkfish. I also tried pork dinuguan for the first time and it was delicious. It was super rich and not gamey tasting at all. I also got lumpia and a couple of egg tarts. All the food was legit and reasonably priced imo I’m so glad this place exists. I’m looking forward to trying some more food next time.
We tried another ,new to us , eating establishment , the Filipino Bakery Cafe & Market . This place is a cool cultural step into a very good experience . They offer a restaurant , banquet area , & complete bakery & store . We tried the Chicken Adobe Combo , Pork Menudo Combo , Pancit Bam-E & Lechon Sisig Tub . We took a good portion of each home to savor later along with an Ube Yema cake slice & a Kakanin Sampler , for dessert . EVERYTHING was a real treat , very tasty . Everyone should try this place .
Awesome experience! My uncle and his Filipina wife were in town visiting from Philadelphia. Between a weekend family reunion and our stop here, we were able to celebrate and appreciate both cultures from them and their relationship---black and Filipino---that have contributed to our family for the better. Thank you and we will definitely be frequent guests here as the staff and the environment here were more like extended family.
Food was a good experience. It was good. Wife's food was cold. Menu is VERY difficult to maneuver since it's on the wall,or down load needed. No explanation for foods on menu so difficult to get something to eat
The Ube cake is amazing. I bought one for a party with my coworkers. A really nice butter cream frosting was delicious. Not pictured- the lumpia is perfect. So delicious!
