El Jarocho Tienda and Taqueria

The food here is absolutely delicious and fresh! The presentation is beautiful, and the flavors are authentic and full of taste. The black beans, rice, and fresh toppings in the bowl were perfectly seasoned, and the birria quesadillas were packed with flavor and came with tasty salsas and consommé. Everything was served hot, and the portions were generous. The service was kind and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

I enjoyed my first time eating here. The restaurant was clean, the owner was sweet and the food was delicious. I tried 3 tacos (birria, suadero, barbacoa)- all very tasty. The consumme was rich and the salsa verde had great flavor. I look forward to returning to try all of the taco options.

I went in with my two young children (2 and 10 months). We got the protein bowl to share and it was perfect! I was able to customize it so that both my kids would enjoy it and the serving was SO BIG! Plenty of food for all three of us. The owner was there and was super patient with my rowdy two year old. The place is nice with a great selection of authentic food and friendly staff. Definitely worth the trip up there from Byrnes Mill!

This place is amazing! The owner is super sweet and friendly. The food…hands down some of the best I have ever had! The rice is amazing the carnitas taco and the carne Asada tacos are to die for the quesadillas are HUGE! Definitely worth the price!!

A cozy Taqueria with friendly and attentive staff. Stopped in for lunch today and everyone was eager to please. The reasonably priced taco lunch special was excellent, and is definitely a steal if you prefer steak over chicken, though both were good. The house made salsa was delicious as well, though I expected more spice from the Roja. Definitely the right level for many folks though. I did not venture into the more exotic options, but they offer lengua and other specialty cuts. Worth checking out if you love no frills Mexican food!
