I was a little skeptical dining in here only because honestly it looked a little empty at first. Walking in I discovered that there were two additional rooms within the restaurant. Very spacious and once we got seated a crowd of guest came in right behind us. Our server Gloria was an absolute delight, so polite and she made the whole experience 10 times better. She explained the menu well and to a first timer that was much an appreciated. I would definitely dine here again wonderful place to get some really god oyster! OH and the best part the char-grilled oysters were fantastic!!! My favorite part actually

I LOOOVE THIS PLACE!!! My first time visiting New Orleans and this was my very first stop so all of the other restaurants had a very tall order to fill. First off the manager, “Ty will get you by” was so friendly and helpful. We were celebrating our honeymoon so they gave us a beautiful private table on the balcony overlooking the parades and people partying (Halloween). Then to make things even better he sent us the best waitress in the joint “Sweets”. She was fantastic and we had so much fun talking with her, she was a delight for sure. Even the others who helped her Paul the manager and Austin the waiter were great too. And now for the food and drinks! We ordered the following: Iberville hurricane, pineapple express, French 75, Whiskey Tree Bourbon (award winning whiskey), Chargrilled

We stumbled across this gym by accident and I am so glad we did. We visited the Monday before fat Tuesday so they were extremely busy, but the host was able to see us in front of the oyster bar. The two gentleman that worked the oyster bar were absolutely amazing, very friendly did not make us feel rushed and we’re very knowledgeable about The food and offered great suggestions. We’re from east North Carolina, where we practically have oysters in our backyard so I was a little hesitant to try some and be disappointed because they’re not like ours at home, but I am so glad that I did. Hands-down, I could say that the oysters on the half shell or some of the best I’ve ever had. Including the oysters, we also tried the fried alligator bites, the fish and shrimp plate with the brussels sprouts

Had an amazing experience at Felix’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar on Bourbon Street. I ordered the gumbo ya ya and the char-grilled oysters, and both were fantastic — rich, flavorful, and exactly what you hope for in New Orleans. What really made the visit special was our server, Mai. She was exceptional — an absolute bundle of joy. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely upbeat, she made us feel welcome from start to finish and elevated the whole experience. Service like hers is the reason you come back. Highly recommend!

With so many standout seafood spots in New Orleans, Felix’s Restaurant & Oyster Bar ended up being a mixed experience. The combo grilled oysters lacked consistency — some overcooked, others undercooked — and the overall seasoning didn’t stand out compared to other oyster houses in the city. The seafood gumbo was surprisingly mild and noticeably light on seafood, with okra being the dominant flavor. The crawfish étouffée had an unusually doughy texture and contained very little crawfish, which was disappointing. That said, the pickle chips were excellent — perfectly crisp and well-seasoned. The jambalaya and red beans and rice were also well executed and delivered the depth of flavor I was hoping for. Service from Heaven was warm, attentive, and professional throughout the meal. The dirt
