The reviews weren't lying. It's the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had in my life. I ordered it with gluten-free bread, and when it arrived at the table, I was shocked by the size. The flavor was even more impressive. I highly recommend it. I'm already planning my next visit. If I could, I'd give it 6 stars.

Delicious local sandwich and ice cream shop. If you're in the area, you have to try this place. I got the Italian on sourdough bread. Absolutely the best tasting sandwich that I've had. My friend got the turkey apple cheddar on marble bread with a side bowl of chicken noodle soup. He loved it as well. The meats, vegetables and bread were very fresh. We'll definitely be back to try a different sandwich. They also serve ice cream and have a different soup every day.

I’ll admit I’m a little biased—I’m a regular at Fat Larry’s, and there’s a reason I keep coming back. This place is the quintessential local-owned deli and ice cream shop, right in the heart of downtown Reading. The sandwiches are amazing, made fresh and packed with flavor. The prices are fair, and the staff is always super friendly and attentive. The space itself is small, charming, and full of that old-school, hometown vibe that’s hard to find these days. Whether you’re grabbing a sandwich or a scoop of ice cream, everything here is top-notch in a laid-back, no-frills kind of way. This isn’t a fancy place—it’s just a legit, small, local shop doing things right. One of my favorite go-to spots, and I strongly recommend it if you’re in the area.

Easy online ordering and was ready before my designated pick up request time. Delicious, packed sandwiches. I'm a former Reading resident, but still work in town. Will most definitely be back!

LOVE Fat Larry's. Sandwiches are great (I usually go w/ the classic roast beef on sourdough, extra horseradish), and service is fast and friendly (even when busy). I'd give an extra star if I could for when they carry the Dirty Funky Fusion chips!
