Fat Daddy's BBQ

We stopped in an hour before closing. Reviews were mixed. Outside and inside are shabby and inside is dirty & dusty. We were really hungry for BBQ so we stayed. Both our BBQ sandwiches were cold. Husband ordered cheese fries, it was artifical cheese. Mac n cheese tasted old. The BBQ flavor was good, just wish it was fresh. Potato salad and macaroni salad were good. Portions were good. Just wish this place would take the time to update and think of customer service. Maybe consider smaller portions to keep prices down. Instant, artificial sweet tea. Two notes on table explain price increase and not giving celery and dressings with wings would be extra. There are nicer ways of saying things. This place has a lot of potential but we left feeling put off for first time visit. Use real cheese

This is a continuation of my review of recent BBQ in Sussex County, Delaware, it sure was a great day, we started with lunch up in Bridgeville with the great Kiwanis Chicken BBQ. This is only a daytime weekend thing during the summer and while it’s not the only chicken stand in Sussex, I’ll tell you the sauce the blast the chicken in, provide on the side & sell by the bottle is better than crack! Our A/C was broken, it was high 80’s so we didn’t wanna cook and needed a dinner to pick up. Fat Daddy’s BBQ was not too far out of the way so we called in our order and in 20 minutes were looking at two girls talking photos of the outside of the building. We might have parked in the frame; sorry… Nobody was in front of us and the food was sitting on the counter with maybe three other bags. Two

Stopped here for a quick bite on our way out of Bethany Beach.....everything was amazing! The burger melted in my mouth and seasoned to perfection! I was curious to try all the sides, but ended up trying the fries and potato salad which were both amazing as well!! Highly recommend!!!!

We stop here at least once a year and it has been consistently good. The flavors are deep and meat is super tender and the fried are delicious. Service is always great - staff is super friendly! Fat Daddy's Monster is always a good value and tons of food!!

Dont let the outside fool you. Small place but this is absolutely a must. Got Fat Daddy's monster dinner and the chicken looked a little dry but OMG that was my favorite. Jay did an outstanding job. It's a back county friendly place. Lol don't know why the wife got a salad at a BBQ
