A positive experience overall. Hot food cooked to order. Service was friendly and focused. The food was good. My only critique or request would be to season the dredge a bit more. Otherwise, my wife and I enjoyed it very much. Thanks for being a part of our community. Keep up the good work.
Food was okay. However normally I don’t care because I used to work retail but why was everyone on their phone texting in the open? Some girl was so focused on her conversation while making her co worker stand there and do the work of two people. And as the guy took our order he was on his phone texting… is your text more important than doing your job? Unprofessional. Sorry, but it’s like atleast move away from the customers if you’re going to be on your phone.
I can’t speak to the atmosphere portion of the review because we haven’t dined in at any Ezell’s locations but the workers were nice, maybe a bit overwhelmed by dinner rush. This location doesn’t keep up with the other locations as far as consistency of the food. Moving to WS I was excited to find that there is an Ezells location in town, as I previously frequented the Wallingford and Central District locations. I’ve been going to the CD one for 20+ years, it’s always good! The WS location is off on its seasoning, the gravy tasted like flour water & was light brown. The other locations gravy is darker brown in color. The rolls are pale and a couple of ours were not fully baked. The chicken tenders were lacking seasoning but they were breaded well. All in all we were disappointed. This i
Ezell's Famous Chicken West Seattle Local business first opened in 1984 crossed the street from Garfield High School. African American owned. Authentic 'Home Style' Fried Chicken. Made crispy with extra care and goodness. I ordered the 2 piece with Coleslaw, Biscuit and a Drink. The menu has some variety to it available menu items include Fried Okra, Chicken Livers and Cajun Fries. You can also order Sweet Potato Pie or Gizzards. Ezell's speciality of course is Chicken... The recipe is all its own genuine and Home made. Excellent Fried Chicken. Self made company Seattle grown. (Help support local products and businesses)
Went for chicken at about 7:30 tonight, on our way back from Vashon ferry. 4 people working, talking to each other loudly, ignoring customers, no dark meat chicken to sell only a few old looking spicy breasts and wings. Rude. People in front of us walked out, we were told it would be ready in 25 minutes, but no one moved to “drop in chicken”. Very sad, bad service. I used to love Ezell’s, but it’s totally a crap shoot now, who knows what you get!
