Elgin Seafood

This restaurant was a recommendation from the owners daughter. I was in the area so we ate in for lunch. I ordered the flounder platter it came with two sides. I chose fried okra and potato salad, hushpuppies are included. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, customer service was excellent. The dining room was a nice size and clean. They have a great selection of seafood. My mom enjoyed the speckled trout platter! 🥰 Will definitely be back!

10/10 recommend. Absolutely delicious! Food was seasoned and fried to perfection. Crab legs were steamed and seasoned perfectly! Portion size was big and pricing fair. Owners were super nice and welcoming! Plenty of seating. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I were looking for some fresh seafood and came across this place. I told the cashier this was our first time visiting and she said you will be back and she was correct. I had a whiting sandwich and my wife had croaker, both fishes were well seasoned.

The Fried Seafood here is Really, really good! It is great as a takeout place. Sit in dining is a bit uncomfortable with limited AC and not many lights on... but the food specials is great and the during the Summer I visited, but prices are extremely reasonable for those on a budget and curmudgeons like me. Food is cooked by a Mom & Pop team, who know what they are doing. Food is always cooked to order, so it is unbearably HOT when brought out to you. So it will still be hot when you eat it if you live in the immediate area, just give it a minute or 3 to cool if you are Starving! And the food is delicious. Filets are cooked perfectly - mind you, I am quite picky and finicky, so chances are you will be happy with your meal choices. Prices are reasonable and the cashier is manned (?) by

My first visit to Elgin seafood definitely will not be my last! Delicious food! Got the whiting and it exceeded my expectations. Very friendly service. The cheesecake was bomb too! Highly recommend.
