Breakfast at Ruiz Northeast Columbia

Have come twice right after they open in the am. Nice little restaurant. First time came with neighbor and she has the shrimp and grits which she loves. I had the Ruiz Monte Cristo sandwich which is great sweet and salty. 2nd visit came with the family. I had the chicken with French toast but the French toast was dry. Would not recommend this dish. My hubby steak and eggs came out cold had to request reheat but it was tasty. My son had the triple meat breakfast sandwich. He liked it. The food is good but i really don’t recommend the dry French toast. Not all of the meals are equal.

Great breakfast food. We had the meditterian omlette, side of French toast and chicken sausage. Everything was delicious and i would recommend. All the portion sizes were good. There was a little bit of a wait for the food, but it wasnt extreme. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Breakfast at Ruiz Northeast was an absolute treat. I ordered the triple-stuffed omelet, and let me tell you—this dish was unforgettable. My adult children know I never finish a full plate, but this generous, flavor-packed omelet was the rare exception. Every bite was worth savoring. You can always tell a restaurant is exceptional when there’s a wait—ours was 35 minutes for lunch, and it was well worth every second. We’d heard amazing things about their Columbia location, and the Northeast spot lived up to all the praise. I also tried their scrumptious French toast, which was just as delightful. And although I’m not one for spirits, they crafted a special coconut mojito mocktail just for me—and it was delicious. Breakfast at Ruiz is truly a “must go,” again and again. Highly recommended

Oh.My.GOODNESS! Had brunch today at this place (recommended by my son), and I was blown away at the first BITE of my Monte Cristo—thick bacon, wonderful melted cheese, perfect eggs, all sandwiched between the best tasting cinnamon bread/toast! It was perfectly prepared, and the home fries topped with Gouda cheese and scallions added a flavor I’d not ever experienced. I couldn’t eat all of my food, so I’m actually happy I can have it again the next day. The menu itself is classy, and there is a full bar at this quietly elegant and understated spot infused with Puerto Rican flair. Y’all, they offer MIMOSA FLIGHTS! Fast and friendly service. Delicious food! The triple meat omelette (kind of like a cuban) and the BBQ brisket omelette were both amazing!! The grits were nice and creamy!
