El Rinconcito

This place is great. Never had a salsa bar before with self serve chips. Fast and friendly service. We will be back.

Went recently (5/14/25), and been going since 2014. El Rinc is a different type of Mexican food. It’s different enough than the other restaurants in town that it has its own niche. The food is excellent. I used to be a huge fan of their Chicken Tacos (before I changed diets), and I enjoyed their Vegetarian Dish options today. The salsa and chip bar is a standout, so many good options for sauces and toppings! Salsa is not too chunky or watery. Service remains top notch. Expedient service for drinks, and the kitchen gets your food out in a reasonable time. I’ve moved away from the area, but this remains one of my go-to stops when in town.

Thus is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. We found it traveling from western NY to Florida. We made a special effort to stop this year. I love the jalapeno dip!!!

My husband and I are working out of state from Florida, after a hard week this restaurant was a boost!! By far one of the best we’ve found!! The chips and salsa bar is awesome!! All of the ingredients were so fresh. We ordered chicken enchiladas verdes and the steak quesadilla grande for dinner. WOW!! Biggest steak quesadilla I’ve ever had, and the price can’t be beat. To think we almost visited that giant Mexican restaurant down the street. I’m so glad we chose this quaint spot instead. 10/10 recommended

Had an appointment in Statesboro which finished just about lunch time, so we decided to stop in for lunch and we certainly were not disappointed. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious, and the portions were quite generous. The prices were a tad less than we pay at our normal "go-to" Mexican place, too. We decided it's going to be our regular stop when we're in Statesboro!
