El Caballo

One of two Mexican restaurants in town and Caballo is by far the best. Honestly, I like Caballo over most of the Mexican restaurants in the surrounding area. Caballo has the best margaritas and their food is very fresh and served piping hot! Their staff is exceptional! They treat you like family! I love, love, love this place! My favorite plates are the California Rice, Texas Rice or two fried chicken chimichangas! It's ALL really good!

Absolutely fantastic experience time and time again! The food here is incredible—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried has been perfectly seasoned and came out hot and delicious. But what really sets this place apart is the service. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. You never feel rushed, and they’re happy to make recommendations or accommodate requests. This is hands-down one of the best local Mexican restaurants around. We’ll definitely be back again and again!

The burrito was amazing! it actually had potatoes in it similar to home fries as well as grilled chicken and vegetables. I loved it and can't wait to go back. I didnt get it but they had a buffet which is something I haven't seen around here The artwork on the walls was very cool. Very colorful and would look awesome under a blacklight! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming

19 Oct ‘25 2:25 pm. Arrive right on time for my to go order. 10 minutes later I receive my order. Steak fajita add fresh sliced jalapeno, rice, beans, salad, chips, salsa. $16.99 + tax + tip + service fee, $21.71 total for one person. The “steak” was the toughest meat I’ve ever tried to eat, full of fat and gristle, could not chew it and it had zero jalapeno. The onions and green peppers were completely raw. The beans were the best part of the meal. The rice was tasteless. The salad was ok. Chips were warm and crispy. Salsa was good. I stop here for take out every time I pass through Sylvania but no more. Sometimey it’s good and sometimey it’s not. 12 Oct ‘25 lunchtime. 4 stars. Ordered lunch #6.
