Dr Mike's Ice Cream Shop

I’ve been coming to Dr. Mike’s for a couple of months now, and it’s become a regular stop for me. I take care of an elderly gentleman who absolutely loves the coffee milkshake, so I come by at least three times a week to pick a couple up for him. Today I stopped in and grabbed six! The milkshakes are great, but what really stands out is how kind and welcoming everyone who works there is. Every visit has been a pleasant experience, and the staff is always so friendly. It’s truly appreciated!

50 years and going strong! Great selection of ice cream and toppings. The whipped cream is made fresh! Try the chocolate lace - it's made at the shop next door and it really good. Servings are large, so my preference is a child's size in a larger cup so there's room for toppings. Since COVID they have changed the ordering so you don't have to try to get into the small building. (An improvement, IMO.) Plus there's a large parking lot. We've been coming here for years and hoping for many more.

Dr. Mike’s is hands‑down the best ice cream shop in the area! They use premium ingredients, and you can truly taste the difference—no ice crystals, no imitation flavors, just pure, creamy deliciousness. We’re regulars, and our go‑to flavors are anything with Oreos (Mint Oreo is my personal favorite!), Cherry Vanilla, and Cake Batter. If you haven’t tried the Chocolate Lace yet, add it to your list—it’s a vanilla base with the perfect crunch. If you haven’t tried this ice cream yet, make time—you won’t regret it!

Stopped here with the family while in CT. Ample parking, picnic tables. They were celebrating 50 years of Dr. Mike. Glad to see small businesses still thriving! Long lines, HOWEVER, please have grace for the staff, be patient and tip! There was only one young lady yesterday. She took orders then made the orders. She greeted everyone with a smile even though the lines never ended and she was all alone. What grace! Ice was good. Generous sizes and portions. Affordable also! We had a good time outdoors on the first 80 degree day of 2025. Will be back if ever in the area!

Cute little ice cream shop. Walk up window. Variety of flavors like Guinness, Black Raspberry, and peanut butter Oreo along with the classics. Vegan vanilla available. Super friendly staff. Great prices. LARGE servings. This was a small mango sorbet and between 2 of us we barely made a dent. I would recommend kiddie if you don’t eat a lot of ice cream. 🍦
