Overall a decent experience, though not without its shortcomings. The vegetable selection felt a bit limited, which was a letdown for a hotpot place. One highlight though — the oranges were surprisingly good (I may have helped myself to about 10 slices, no regrets). On the meat side, the quality was acceptable but nothing exceptional. That said, the galbi and chuck roll were standout cuts worth ordering. For sides, the crispy dumplings and spicy pork belly were both solid choices and worth adding to your table. A couple of things I’d skip on a return visit: the steamed meat felt unnecessary — that protein is better off going straight into the hotpot. And if you’re going in hoping the Thai soup is a proper tom yum, nope. Wouldn’t recommend it. Stick to the soybean paste or beef broth — both

These days every city must have a few hot pot all you can eat buffet shabu style restaurant and Irvine CA is no different. I visited my brother in Irvine and he took us to this Dpot next to the Irvine lake which is very nice. The Irvine company really did a great job for this area. The dinner for 5 came out over $200. I believe $37/person. I like briskets but not many hot pots have them because they're expensive or any other reasons. This place has a very special dish called steamed bacon which is very different, light, and delicious. The veggies bar and seafood bar don't have many choices like Shabuya in Milpitas or Seapot in Sunnyvale. The meats are limited too, but it's OK, the Korean miso soup I had wasn't great, I had to make the soup myself with other ingredients. The services are qu

It's just really good. It's not an overcrowded buffet. They bring out dishes to you. The meat stackers are delicious. I also like the sauce station. Lots of options to mix. I've been there 5 times and it's the same quality each time. It can be a very long wait though. There aren't a lot of two tops, so the four tops are a bit of wasted space. Be prepared to wait on a weekend.

All You Can Eat Fat! Let's be real, if you saw these cuts of meat anywhere else you prob wouldn't spend money on them. The wagyu is like 90% fat and the steamed meats are just strips of fat. They line it up to show the meat but each strip is mostly fat. By the end of the meal I felt gross. I will say that the ribeye was pretty solid. The veggies were pretty crisp and fresh. The broths didn't have much depth to them, felt like flavored water, especially the pho broth. The fried dumplings were probably my favorite thing, crispy and juicy. But hey if I'm gonna drop $50 for just ribeye I might as well get 2 big juicy steaks and eat at home. Service was very attentive and quick, but pretty impersonal.

I’ve given dPot three separate chances, and somehow each visit managed to be just as disappointing as the last. The food itself is fine, not great, not memorable, just okay. The atmosphere is also decent. It’s a nice-looking, cozy little restaurant. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The service is consistently awful. Long waits, inattentive staff, and an overall feeling that customers are an inconvenience rather than the reason the place exists. Every visit felt disorganized and frustrating from start to finish. The prices are outrageous for what you get. Nothing about the experience justifies the cost, especially when there are at least 10 other shabu places in the immediate area that offer better service, better value, and a smoother experience overall. None of them are p
