Doug's BBQ

We loved this place, great food, friendly and fast service. Doug's Burger was amazing, the roasted jalapenos were a nice touch, the fries and onion rings were a great pairing. The Raspberry Cheese cake was so good, incredible. Don't miss out, for a small town, they are lucky to have this amazing place. The one thing that made us laugh is the restrooms are outside, right before the front door.

Just had a great dinner at Doug's! Crystal was our server and was so sweet. She also makes a great blackberry margarita! We enjoyed a burger and ribs and the augratin potatoes! What a neat place!

We were traveling through Monticello on a trip and decided to try what the locals were telling us about this place. It was wonderful! I had to try my default when I hit a BBQ place for the first time - Pulled Pork Sandwich. This thing was massive, with a mound of tender and flavorful pulled pork that was so tender and juicy that it really did not need any BBQ Sauce. The fries were hand cut and fried to perfection and were absolutely amazing on their own. We had a fabulous meal here and enjoyed the personable service in a quaint out of the way diner with its own distinctive flair.

The most epic of BBQ places. I had the ribs in my husband had to pulled pork. And their drinks are amazing. Also I do not know what spice rub they put on their ribs but it is to die for. I would definitely go back again a million times over! Plus the service was outstanding!

Very cool little spot in Monticello, but I wouldn't consider it to be a BBQ joint. They offer brisket or pulled pork as a sandwich or taco, and have BBQ chicken wings, but that's about it. I got the brisket sandwich and was disappointed. It seemed like the meat was precooked and had the taste and consistency of a soft dry jerky - also had a bacon taste going on. As a Texan when I see BBQ I assume there is a pit master smoking the meats the day of, but it didnt seem like that was the case. I'd still like to try non-BBQ menu items (like the burgers) as they did look pretty good.
