Dough Joy has been one of my favorite spots for a long time, but the Ballard location truly stands out as something special. While every Dough Joy shop brings its own charm, this one consistently feels like the perfect combination of great food, great people, and a genuinely warm atmosphere. The staff at this location are, without question, the absolute best. Every time I walk in, they’re incredibly friendly, upbeat, and genuinely helpful, which makes each visit something I actually look forward to rather than just a quick stop for coffee or a treat. Their positive energy really sets the tone and makes the shop live up to its name — it’s always a joy to come in. And of course, the doughnuts themselves never disappoint. Dough Joy is known for amazing flavors and textures, but the fritters
Clean and modern donut shop with good vibes. Friendly service and delicious donuts. A great place to stop by for something sweet after lunch at a nearby restaurant. Definitely will be back to try out some other flavors!
This is one of my favorite locations of Dough Joy. The staff is always friendly, the place is clean, and the overall vibe is great. It’s a pretty popular location, though, so if you show up closer to closing time the selection can be a bit limited. FYI - It’s especially perfect in the summertime…you can sit outside under the big tree, enjoy the breeze and do some great people-watching. The only downside is that parking can be a little tough, but it’s worth the effort once you’re there.
Really love the vibe and interior design of this place!! Staff were very nice and friendly to answer all our questions. Really like their icing because it was very dense, full of flavor, and delicious! But some of the dough was not chewy-like donut, it was more like a hardened bread that was overcooked or the dough got harden overnight type of texture. We really like the lemon-flavored cream filling inside the donut 🍩 Will definitely go back to try again with other types of donuts!
Been here at least a dozen times and the staff is always so kind and welcoming! It’s super cute inside and the donut selection is incredible. Like 20+ flavors plus a few gluten-free that are baked in a separate facility. Their apple fritter is insane! And the maple bar is so good. Seasonal flavors are fun too but those are my go-tos. Can’t believe they’re vegan, my friends can’t believe it either. I bring them to work, birthdays, etc and people love them!
