We were driving through and stopped for lunch around 2:15 or so on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We knew they'd be closing soon, and asked if it was too late to come in and order for our family 4. The woman behind the counter was so kind and friendly, saying they'd been waiting all day for us to come in and eat and sat us right away. The server was efficient and so kind. The chili was fantastic, our oldest loved the grilled bacon and cheese, begging to come back again for it. My husband and our youngest both got burgers and fries, raving over how delicious they were. I got the buttermilk chicken sandwich (pictured) and OH. MY. GOD. It was the best sandwich I've ever had in my life, and it was ginormous. I will be dreaming of it daily until the next time we pass through Wilmington. Ha
The food was absolutely worth the wait! This breakfast spot was packed — we arrived around 10 AM on a Saturday and waited about 30 minutes, with a line stretching out the door and onto the street. Once seated, the food was delicious and the menu offered plenty of great options. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because some staff members came across as quite rude when interacting with customers. I understand they were extremely busy and working hard to keep things moving, but I noticed at least two groups leave before being seated after tense exchanges with the staff. It made for a slightly uncomfortable atmosphere at times, which was unfortunate given how good the food was.
Oh, boy! A real old-fashioned diner in the middle of an old fashioned Vermont ski village. Great breakfast complete with fresh blueberry pancakes or whatever you might want in a diner. Come around 9 am to get in, otherwise there is a line waiting to get in on weekends. But it is worth the wait. The staff here are super efficient and helpful. Great place for lunch as well. Super fast service. Don't miss Dots.
We looooove Dot's! The food is delicious, the servers are fun, warm, and welcoming, and the history is fascinating. We really lucked out because Strawberry Rhubarb pie was on the menu, and we got the last two servings... woo hoo! 😋💖
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cheerful and attentive team that works seamlessly together. Their teamwork is truly commendable. They meet everyone with a smile and nice phrases, pay attention to request and when you need more coffee. As for the avocado toast, it was simple — just toasted bread topped with guacamole. It’s not as elaborate as what I’m used to in NYC cafes. Eggs Benedict were okay with ham, which is not mentioned in menu, but it might be good to know about it before the order.
