Had such a nice dinner at Alpenglow last night. Started with the charred scallops, then the filet mignon—which was cooked perfectly—and finished with crème brûlée. The place feels cozy and relaxed, and Susan, the owner, welcomed us so warmly that it really felt like home. The chef clearly knows what they’re doing, and the bartender was excellent and very attentive. Just an all-around lovely evening. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back.💐
Alpine Elegance & Exquisite Flavors From the cozy, upscale atmosphere with fur-lined chairs to the masterfully executed dishes, this was a standout meal. We paired our evening with a crisp 2023 Schäfer-Fröhlich Blanc de Noir and a bold 2021 G.D. Vajra Albe Barolo. Small Plates Truffled Asparagus: Perfectly tender and elevated with rich truffle manchego. Charred Scallops: Seared beautifully and served with a bright beurre blanc and roasted tomatoes. Main Courses Pan-Seared Duck: A highlight of the night. The duck breast was succulent, complemented by a unique vanilla sweet potato purée and a rich sherry demi-glace. Filet Mignon: An 8oz cut that was incredibly tender, served over creamy ricotta whipped potatoes and crisp haricot verts. Dessert Crème Brûlée: Features a perfectly torc
I highly recommend Alpenglow! We were visiting from CA, and when we arrived Susan, the owner, graciously welcomed us. The restaurant was full, so we sat at the bar, and enjoyed watching our bartender Raquel prepare our gin cocktails with flair while also sharing recommendations for local sites to see during our first time visit to the area. I ordered the trout which was delicious and melted in your mouth. My friend ordered the wienerschnitzel and loved it. The fig/ prosciutto salad was gorgeous and delicious as well. Wish we didn’t live so far away!
The absolute BEST meal!!!! We had a giant group and were all perfectly taken care of. Tons of fondue and wine, and the service was incredible. We really enjoyed our night - the entire experience was a perfect way to end a long day of skiing. Will DEFINITELY be back!
This place is on point. We had a meal in zermatt this past February and my wife and I both agreed that alpenglow exceeded it. Susan, the owner, worked the front of the restaurant to perfection. I’d recommend sitting in the lounge. It’s high top service - the traditional dining room appeared to be tight quarters. Super Jeff, the bartender/server in the lounge, crushed it from the get. Strongly recommend. Forgot to take a photo of the chicken, pork belly, and apple strudel … but everything was fantastic.
