The Nutmeg

What a great inn! As soon as you step into the foyer you are met with a beautiful scent of cedar ... every common space (and there are many) is beautifully decorated and is very "ecclectic"... modern country, I would say. VERY quiet even for being directly on the main road. The surrounding lawn looked amazing even though it was too chilly to sit outside. They have a lovely pool and two firepits. The breakfast was made to order and delicious. They have an "honor" bar which includes waters, snacks, candies and beer/wine. A great couple run the business, very helpful and friendly. When in the area again I will DEFINITELY stay again!

The Nutmeg offers a home away from home. Shelly really wants to make sure you’re confortable and has thought of all the little details to make your stay enjoyable. Hot Chocolate at 4pm. Fresh baked cookies in your room. Morning coffee at 7am with Breakfast at 8am and if you’re hitting the slopes early - she will pack you the most delish brekkie! It’s just 15-18 mins to Mt Snow. The Queen room I stayed in was smaller than I had expected from the photos but it was perfect for a solo traveller. The home itself has a lot of character. The stairs to my room were narrow and steep so may be hard if you have lots of luggage so be sure to ask for a ground floor room if you have lots of stuff. Overall very cozy!

Just had a wonderful 4 night stay at The Nutmeg. Everything was perfect. Room was super clean and very comfortable. The star of the show is the breakfast. Absolutely 5 star quality. Hosts are extremely friendly and we enjoyed the bar and the cozy lounge atmosphere after a ski day. This place is a gem and I highly recommend. Will be back.

What are wonderful bed-and-breakfast! My wife and I had an issue with our reservation in a resort close by; it was very late at night, we were referred to the nutmeg by another inn. When we contacted the nutmeg in desperation, they were welcoming and quick with providing us a room. The room was cozy, clean and quite comfortable. Breakfast ,which is included, was absolutely phenomenal. The house is quiet. I could go on all day talking about how wonderful they are here! We will definitely be staying here again!

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Nutmeg and it ended up being one of the highlights of our Vermont trip. With the snow falling, the town truly felt like a winter wonderland—charming, peaceful, and straight out of a postcard. The breakfast was delicious—honestly one of the best we’ve had at a stay. Everything was fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared, managing to feel both comforting and healthy. Make sure to order the French Toast they pride themselves on it. 😉 The price point was very reasonable for how close it is to Mount Snow. We went skiing and snowboarding there, and compared to some of the wildly expensive lodging nearby, The Nutmeg felt like such a hidden gem.
