Sunday January 18, 2026 During our recent visit to the city, we chose this establishment for an early luncheon, and it proved to be an excellent decision. Restaurant: This is an authentic Mexican restaurant featuring extensive Mexican decor. The restaurant is situated adjacent to Jackson Lake, offering a picturesque view. While we opted for indoor seating, the outdoor seating area is truly exceptional. Service : The staff, including the front hostess and our waiter, provided exceptional service. Upon being seated, we were presented with chips and salsa. Food : I selected option #3, which included a taco, a burrito, and an enchilada. We stopped at Don Jose's for lunch today. It was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly. The beans were fresh and delicious! I had the chicken encillada with green sauce and cheese! Carlos, our waiter was outstanding! Our hostess accommodated our wish to sit by the window overlooking the lake. The flan was perfect with a Carmel sauce! What a great dining experience!

Amazing place and awesome ambiance !!! Loved the whole experience and place. Our server was extremely kind and made sure she gave best suggestions as I’m a vegetarian. Overall it’s a must visit place

Great place! The food is hot and fresh. The service is wonderful. I would like to comment the server assistant “Michael”. He went above and beyond taking care of us. So nice to see a young man doing great work. He was very friendly, had excellent manners, always smiling and provided great customer service. People will always give bad reviews/ complaints but rarely commend. He deserves to be acknowledged.

Our first time here and definitely not our last! The food was amazing, our waiter was stopping by a couple times to make sure we didn’t need anything. Couldn’t ask for a better meal. I would highly recommend this place. It was a chilly night so ate inside but can’t wait to go back and sit outside on their patio overlooking the lake. I had the chicken enchiladas and very very good, seasoned chicken with a red sauce served with beans and rice. I definitely walked or should I say “waddled” lol…out the door, excellent food and service. There was four of us and we all extremely enjoyed our meal!
