Dockside Seafood Restaurant

First time in Mobile, and my first time at this restaurant. We wanted to eat by the water and watch the sunset. I saw this place and chose it and the food was not a disappointment. Everything was delicious. Especially the hushpuppies! It was incredibly quiet and so enjoyable to sit and look at the water. The staff was so friendly and helpful. One lady made a recommendation for where we could go watch the sunset. And it was such a gorgeous spot. It was like being on the edge of the world. I highly recommend coming here and enjoy the peace and quiet and delicious, hot food.

Update: I gave it a 3 stars which means "it's ok". I gave an honest opinion, telling the manager on duty wouldn't have solved anything, what were they gonna do? Change their recipe and suddenly make better quality food? Refunding us wouldn't have changed my opinion, and we ate the food, we aren't going to ask for a refund, I would refuse a refund. The food was just ok, I actually was much more generous than the others in my group who legit disliked the food. I was going to drop it to 2 stars because of the rude response claiming I'm trying to hurt their business with a bad review but I won't be a jerk, my opinion of our visit is what it is. Stopped for lunch at Dockside. Wow, so good and amazing sized shrimp. I ordered the Steamed shrimp which came with 5 shrimp, potatoes and corn on the cob. Hubby ordered the fish basket with fries and hushpuppies. We finished off by sharing a piece of Key lime pie.

We are on the island for a school field trip. I have a very particular 11 year old who just wanted a burger for dinner. Dockside Seafood Restaurant to the rescue! It was incredibly affordable (especially compared to other island restaurants) and the food was fast. The owner personally made sure that our food was to our liking. Thank you for a delicious dinner!

So, the restaurant is downstairs. You walk in and order at the counter and pay. They only have bottled drinks/water. Then go find your table indoors or outdoors. It took a good while to get our food. The fries weren't hot, and our shrimp were bland. I will say the royal reds were phenomenal!! We were with family that ordered right after us, and we were almost done eating before they got their food. The view is great, but don't go early, there's hardly any shade
