DJ'S BOX LUNCH

12/2025 I happened upon this quaint, friendly and fast place by accident. Located next to Inkspot, people drive by for a really quick and onolicious pickup. They offer 3 simple bentos that offer a quick but wide variety of food. Drop by to get your quick fix to start your day. They open at 6am. D, one of the owners was really informative and helpful. And the food offerings is what attracts your eye at their prices. Not overly huge but very reasonable and economical portions in these trying times. A nice niche option just minutes from anywhere in town and the airport. Onolicious! 😉🤙✌️

DJ's is a take out only place. Orser at the front the window and off you go in a minute or two. Everything looked really good here, but we only ordered a couple of things. We ordered the regular and deluxe lunchbox, both were really good. The cone sushi is huge, but very tasty and good. The lunchboxes are like the old style my grandmother used to give me when going fishing. Everything in the lunchbox was good. We will definitely ve going back when we go back to Kauai.

Box lunch comes with most items on the a la carte menu, depending on the size you get (small, regular, deluxe). We got the small and it was a good sampler of a lot of the items! Corned beef hash was my personal favourite, I immediately went back to order another one to eat. The spam musubi was also good. Overall, super reasonably priced for the food that you're getting.

We ate here when it was known as "Po's Kitchen". Leave it up to my good friend to find us a great hole-in-the-wall place! ATMOSPHERE: The tiny open-air spot is located in a small strip mall across from Ace Hardware. It's mainly a takeout spot, but they cleared off their sole 4-seater table for our gang, lol. MENU: Chicken, pork, beef, fish, sushi, shrimp, hot dog, corned beef hash; either a la carte or together in a box lunch. FOOD: Box Lunch An actual pie box comes loaded with two musubi, two crispy & savory fried chicken wings, tender teriyaki pork, a slice of luncheon meat, half a boiled hot dog, a tong-full of tsukemono (pickled cabbage), slice of egg roll, and some broken spaghetti mayo salad. We each got the deluxe size which adds two small shrimp tempura. Everything was cooked p

Have you ever tried a box lunch in Hawaii? If you haven’t or are looking for the bomb.com food, I highly recommend DJ’s Box Lunch. You can order items individually, but a regular or deluxe box comes with the standard…chicken, rice, egg, salad, pickled veggies, luncheon meat, hot dog, teri beef, and a side dish…the deluxe comes with fried shrimp. Come hungry because I promise you, after you eat this box, you’ll be full! Side note..this is a take out order business only.
