Diner's Haven

We enjoyed steamed dumplings, wonton soup, chicken and broccoli, shrimp with mixed veg, shrimp pad thai, and lo mein. Delicious flavors! All the sauces were yummy and everything seemed very fresh. Dining room and bathroom were very clean. Relaxing music. Prompt service. Only suggested improvement: the snowflake decor was dated (we dined Oct 2) and the balloons on the entrance wall didn't match the classy vibe throughout the rest of the restaurant.

Diner’s Haven Chinese & Japanese Cuisine is an absolute gem! The food was delicious I had the shrimp and broccoli and it was cooked perfectly. My Mai Tai was just as amazing, balanced and flavorful. Service was impressively fast, and the staff was friendly without being intrusive. The restaurant itself is very clean, cozy, and quiet — perfect for a relaxing meal. I also loved the fresh sushi bar and the variety of traditional dishes on the menu. If you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere, this is definitely the place to go!

I went to this place on the weekend, and it was packed! Even with the crowd, the food was amazing—so fresh and flavorful. The prices are super reasonable too. Highly recommend!

We stopped at Diner’s Haven to grab some Lo Main for our toddler during a road trip. We ended up dining in, and got Scallion Pancakes and Salmon Teriyaki as well. Wonderful staff, calm atmosphere (kid friendly) and fresh flavorful food. What a nice find! We’ll stop over again when we drive by 😊

This place is a hidden gem in Wallingford ! The sushi is incredibly fresh and looks like a piece of art on the plate. They’ve got all the go-to Chinese comfort dishes too—tasty, authentic, and just what you’re craving. Prices won’t break the bank, and the staff is super friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!
