Desi Bite House

We had a fantastic experience at Desi Bite House! We ordered samosas, motichoor ladoo, and besan ladoo — and every single item was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of authentic flavor. The samosas were perfectly crisp, and the sweets were rich and satisfying without being overly sweet. The vibe of the place was great — welcoming, clean, and full of energy. One of the highlights was the live panipuri stall, which added a really fun and interactive touch to the visit. They also offer a wide variety of Indian sweets and Namkeens, which makes it a perfect spot if you’re looking to explore different traditional flavors. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area — we’ll definitely be back!

10/10. Highly recommended. Delicious food. Became their regular customer because the food is really tasty. Love their potato veg puffs. In every visit, did try their new dishes and everything is super tasty. My kids do love their Indian sweets. Good variety in sweets too.

Their sweets and namkeen are awesome. Namak paare, almond biscuits, kaju, laddoo, boondi - all were super good, probably the best in Seattle area. Rasgulla was bengali style so didn’t like that - really looking for the spongy style! Whole peanuts are a hit or miss - were good last time but not again. In food - chole kulche were average, not like the Punjabi style choke. Punjabi kadhi was decent but portion of rice was way too small. Service is superb - they let you taste anything you want and also give complimentary tea! Ambiance - it’s mostly a take out place. A few counter chairs and tables and that’s it.

First impressions were pretty bad. They are apprently known for their sweets and namkeen but snack/food isn't their forte. Their vada pav is not made fresh, and so the vada was pretty mediocre and didn't have the crunch you would expect. Maharaja chaat was sub-par. The taste was maybe ok, but the papdi used was smelling and tasting funky. It was either extremely stale or fried in stale oil. Totally ruined the experience. The paneer sandwich had a lot of panner and was of decent portion size but was pretty bland overall.

I went for dinner but ended up leaving after just the starters. The Aloo Tikki Chaat was disappointing — it came with what tasted like frozen, pre-made tikkis topped with a regular vegetable chole curry. Not even served hot. When I placed my order, I noticed the prices on the bill were higher than those listed on the table menu. When I asked about it, the staff simply said, “The menu is old,” and offered no further explanation or updated menu. Golgappe water was served in a glass size of filter coffee. They did prepared aalo tikki chaat again but same frozen tikki served hot with chole curry on top. Overall experience was very bad, won’t recommend.
