Day-O Espresso

My wife and I arrived at Day-O Espresso at approximately 2:00 p.m. with the intention of purchasing coffee. Upon observing a sign indicating “drive-thru only,” we proceeded to the drive-thru after the employees served another customer. We approached the window and waited for approximately five minutes for assistance. During this time, we received no response, despite the presence of employee vehicles in the parking area and an illuminated “Open” sign. We had then seen another car approaching the drive thru. My wife and I decided to wait by the picnic area to see if they would serve the other customers. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle entered the drive-thru lane and was promptly assisted within a few seconds. While waiting near a nearby picnic table, we made eye contact with the employees

Pulled up to the window around 250 pm with a co-worker today, to grab some items before we ended our work shift. Lights were all on, open sign was on, but nobody at the window to take our orders. We waited a good thirty minutes before we decided to leave. Another truck was also waiting behind us waiting and they also decided to leave since they saw us drive off without any items. Came by yesterday and grabbed a drink and it was all ice, finished the drink and the cup was still full of ice. I've never paid 12 dollar for a cup of ice before, so I thought I'd give them another try today and sadly I couldn't even give them another try since we waited for nothing. We pulled Update at about 3:15 on 11/1/2025 to an "on break, will be back in 30 minutes sign" we stayed until 3:55 and still no one was back! The entire shop was empty. I'm not sure what they were doing but they sure as hell weren't making coffee. Definitely took more then a 30 min break (which I'm sure is against company policy) Multiple other cars left after waiting more then 30 minutes as well. Unfortunately the shop definitely lost a lot of revenue today, not just from our car load of 7, but the other 3 cars that left as well. Staff definitely took advantage of the lack of superviors on shift, I'm sure. I saw a group of probably 4 or 5 girls walking away as we pulled up. My family and I have been loyal customers here for years, but unfortunately, this recent visit was disappointing. We went through the drive-thru, and right away, the service felt off. The employee taking our order seemed disinterested and unwelcoming. We ordered a small smoothie with whipped cream and a Big Kahuna. When our order was handed to us, we received a larger smoothie instead of the Big Kahuna. Not a huge deal—mistakes happen. However, it took a few minutes to get the attention of the two employees working the booth, which was a bit frustrating but still understandable. What really stood out in a negative way was how the situation was handled. When I asked if what we received was the Big Kahuna, both employees glared at us. I ordered the German chocolate mocha frappe and it was the best I ever had!!! I couldn't stop raving about it on the way home. I've been going here for 5 years and never been so excited about my drink. Hahah. Thanks again!
