This is the best place to stay in Murphys, excellent location, less than 2 minute walk to Main Street. |We used the Christmas sale and stayed in the blue oak (attic) room. Very cozy and quiet, comfortable bed. It is a steep staircase to get to the room, just go slowly and it’s fine. The whole house is such a warm atmosphere, plenty of comfortable seating and you’re greeted by a great dining table when you walk in, inviting place to sit and have a cup of coffee and enjoy your included breakfast. |We found it very clean and an exceptional holiday value! |We were the only guests during our stay so we enjoyed breakfast at the time we wanted and we enjoyed eggs, bacon, potatoes and a pancakes and waffles. |All of which were delicious! |We very much look forward to our next trip, this is our go

Tucked away in the charming town of Murphys lies the @dunbarhouseinn, an idyllic escape that felt like home from the moment we arrived. It was the perfect setting for a mother-daughter adventure, surrounded by quiet, stillness, and genuine warmth. Peaceful, cozy, and full of heart, each of the six uniquely designed rooms tells its own story and adds to the charm of this hidden gem. Waking up to a made-to-order breakfast was the sweetest touch, and the kindness of the owner and staff made it all even more special. You can't miss out on their french toast! 😋🍞🍳 Highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone visiting Murphys.

Very quiet romantic weekend Sierra foothill Gold country in Murphy’s. Decided to spend thanksgiving in the little town of Murphy’s. Had a wonderful dinner at the Murphy’s hotel and restaurant. Do recommend making reservation as early as possible before Thanksgiving. The room was top notch fresh clean just the feel of an old Victorian B&B, the menu for breakfast that they cook on site was incredible. All you can eat. The concierge were very helpful knowledgeable. And Michael, the owner really good host very knowledgeable of the town. strongly recommend looking at the concert series at the Ironstone amphitheater for music in the vineyard, top-tier bands just overall a lot of good restaurants to eat.

We absolutely love the Dunbar house, this is our second time staying there and we are already planning our third. We stayed in the blue oak room this time, very cute room, we walked to Main Street daily for shopping and dinner. Breakfast was delicious, we had eggs, bacon, potatoes and pancakes and waffles. Highly recommend giving this place a try, so worth it!

Dunbar house is lovely, the rooms beautifully decorated. The bed and pillows in the room were very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. The room was very clean, with fluffy towels and an antique claw footed tub! It's location is steps away from downtown Murphy's but so quiet. We are looking forward to returning!
