Day Line Rooftop Restaurant & Bar

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at the Dayline the night before our wedding, and opened it up to a welcome party immediately after. The staff was amazing and kept our guests happy and the drinks flowing! The food was incredible, everyone is still talking about the general Tso’s cauliflower bites! A beautiful space that doesn’t need extra decor, it speaks for itself. The rooftop views were excellent until the sun went down! Very happy with our experience there!

We had an incredible dining experience at Day Line Rooftop Restaurant! From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious. The short ribs were perfectly portioned — just the right amount to leave us satisfied. The scallops, while more of an appetizer-sized portion, were so flavorful that we couldn’t resist ordering a second round. Every bite was incredible! The drinks were also fantastic — well-crafted and nice and strong, exactly how they should be. The ambiance was simply amazing. The rooftop setting is stunning, with a beautiful atmosphere that made the evening feel extra special. Astoundingly good experience. Gorgeous setting, fantastic staff and every plate we ordered exceeded all expectation (which is particularly impressive considering so many dishes include caviar or lobster). Best oysters, lobster and caviar I’ve ever had. Even the bread blew us away. Can’t recommend making the trip enough.

While staying at the James Newbury Hotel my husband and I decided to check this placs out. We ordered a glass of Prosecco and an Old Fashioned. While the drinks were delicious, we did wait longer for them than our typical restaurant experience. For food we ordered half dozen oysters, a bump of Caviar each, and crab cakes. I loved that a bump was an option so we could try something new. The food was delicious and not too heavy. However, as we arrived an hour before close they were out of bread and several desserts. I know they're new so I'm hopeful that will improve. Our waitress was great! Overall a wonderful experience that I expect will become even better over time.

Horrible experience at Dayline. We were staying at the hotel and thought we’d give the restaurant there a try. To start: 90+ degree weather and there’s no AC. But the interior design is nice and you have a good view of the Hudson. We had made a reservation and got sat promptly. This is where it goes downhill. We don’t get acknowledged until an HOUR in where we get water and get asked for drinks. Drink order is taken and then we wait more. Drinks surprisingly come out quick and are tasty. We place our food order as the drinks came out because that was the only chance we even spoke to our server. Now we wait again. 40 mins in we get our raw bar stuff. Then we wait another 20 for the salad and then wait even longer for the entree. The table next to us had the same exact issue where they ac
