We've been there a couple of days ago for my b-day dinner. It's a lovely place and food was delicious! There were just 2 bad things I have to mention: French fries, that came with the hamburger, were mushy and the meatballs (our appetizer) were cold in the middle. Service was excellent.
The food at Che Fegata was excellent, the service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant with a mix of old photos on the wall and a Botero print overlooking the dining room. All decorations were tastefully done. However, the only downside was the over speedy service. I was expecting a leisurely two-hour night of drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert, but everything came out too quickly. Our drinks arrived within minutes, the appetizer came before we could finish, salads were served halfway through, and our main course was brought out all within 45 minutes. The place wasn't even that busy. They just need to slow things down a bit because the food is truly excellent. Despite this, we will definitely be back and give it another try.
Che Figata Italian Bistro. Coxsackie N.Y. If your palette craving fried calamari you won't be disappointed ,calamari lightly battered and delicious. Spaghetti with meatball had nice flavor but the garlic was a bit burnt and sauce had to cook more to release acidity. Also short rib with linguine had nice flavor but the acidity in tomatoes needs to cook more to evaporate uric acid. Also the mussels in apple reduction had wonderful flavors but the mussels were poor in size. Today was a miss in some of the dishes. But ,If your ever in the neighborhood give this place a try.
We are visiting. Stepped in for late lunch. Excellent service, cozy, welcoming vibes. Had ravioli with salad, delicious! Honey and fig so tasty, would love to come back whenever we can next !
The best Italian bistro in upstate New York. The atmosphere is comfortable and commodious. If you’re in the area, you should stop by for a bite… it’s a must. The chef makes the best chicken piccata I’ve ever tasted. I won’t eat it anywhere else. This has become “our” spot. Tatiana gives the most personable and professional service without being too intrusive. She makes us feel like we’re family. — love her! Looking forward to my next meal!
