Daphne's Westhampton

Incredibly disappointed with the service we had tonight at Daphne's. My husband and I have been regular patrons of the bar and this was our first time sitting down for dinner. Our waitress took our appetizer order and never came back to take our dinner orders. We had a 6:30 reservation and had to take our food to go as we couldn't wait any longer for our food to come out when it was after 8:20. The table next to us asked for their food to go as well as they were also frustrated waiting. It was a clear lack of restaurant management. The restaurant manager didn't come by either table to address the concerns.

Daphne was delicious. a bit of a limited menu with a confusing mix of cuisines, but we loved everything we got! The hummus plate had a beautiful presentation with a VERY light spread of hummus on the plate. The hummus itself was light and lemony, the naan was crispy and the vegetables tasted fresh. The vegetable roll had bell peppers and avocado. The soba noodle salad was refreshing and filling! delicious! The vibes were good and the service was great.

Don’t get me wrong, if you are looking for a good cocktail and a nice place to sit. This place will work. But if you are looking for a place to have a nice dinner and service. Keep looking. This is a picture of my steak. It came in seasoned and I asked for medium. They gave me both sides of the spectrum. I don’t even know how they did it. But it was the worst. Our waters were warm the entire time, and our poor server and busser had zero clue what they were doing. They had no hospitality or common knowledge of their food or capabilities. They flat out told me I couldn’t substitute my fries for a salad(me trying to be healthy). Anyway. For what we paid, I was not happy with the experience, and looking at how they acted with other tables, im sure that others can attest to the lack of attent

Beautiful building, decor, and atmosphere totally on point and cocktails were fantastic. The menu definitely needs some work, if you’re coming here go to the bar and grab a burger it is definitely the highlight of this menu. Other than that the menu was lacking in creativity and flavor

What a great turnaround from the burger joint. This place is top notch. The crowd, the service, the food, the drinks, the view! All top shelf. The She's Old Fashioned was delightful. The chopped salad was fresh and delicious and surprisingly filling. The Seared Tuna with Soba Noodles was something I'd come back for, amazing! WHB has become a hub for great restaurants over the last few years. If you want a taste of the high end without drifting deep into Hamptons/Montauk territory, WHB is for you. I have a family member that works at one of the restaurants in WHB as well as her friends do too. I also have some friends that live in that area and I had a quick stint at DE Real Estate there.
