Dairy Freeze

Just a great place for an excellent burger or some ice cream and similar, has been for as long as I can remember!

I heard this was a must for ice cream. So we came and we ordered a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Collider, it was delicious! There is only outdoor seating, but they have a nice big patio with umbrellas. There was multiple people taking orders at several windows so the wait wasn’t terribly long. I would definitely come again.

I’ve been coming to Dairy Freeze since I was a child and over the past thirty a lot has changed but the food here has remained consistently good. I make it a point to stop by every time I pass through Altavista. The menu is typical diner-style: burgers, hotdogs, fries and ice cream so the menu is pretty simple but the flavors are top notch. For example today’s burger had some of the freshest tomatoes I’ve ever had in takeout

This is a road side ice cream shop with some food. They have soft serve ice cream and yogurt. We order a small cups and it was still a pretty good size. Both the ice cream and yogurt were yummy. We didn't have and food but the couple next to us said they had the best hot dogs. We definitely will be back.

I'm from Rockford IL my family is from VA I love the food something we never had but it's where my money goes there
