Da' Matteo Ristorante Pizzeria

We were on the way to Destin and found this gem! It’s authentic Italian food but more of a relaxed mom and pop environment. Our waitress, Michelle, was lovely and checked on us many times. Our food came out very quickly and was delicious! This places exceeded our expectations so much so that we decided they needed a great review. Next time we come through we will be sure to stop back in!

Food was amazing. I enjoyed the atmosphere and my waitress. Very kind and informative. It was worth the money I spent and we all ate our leftovers for dinner, I normally forget to eat my leftovers but I wanted more.

The food was excellent here. We had the calamari and shared a pizza. We also tried their wines by the glass, which were all excellent! The calamari was prepared authentically and fresh. The pizza was very fresh and you could taste how quality the ingredients were. The pizza oven in house added extra flavor and we really enjoyed the thinner crust. Some suggestions we would make to the owner is to consider adding booth seating and music to make it extra comfy and ambient. We also felt a bit rushed even though we arrived early evening. Our server was very attentive and brought the food and wine out at great timing. We look forward to eating here again and trying some of their pastas and desserts.

Better than your typical pizza place! The crust is yummy and has the oven flavor that says authentic Italian pizza. New favorite pizzeria! We got a cheese and a pepperoni with jalapenos. Very tasty.

In their behalf, we did go on Valentine's Day and it was very busy. Had to ask 3 different servers for silverware. Got wine fairly quickly. Had to ask numerous times for bread. Our mistake, we are used to bread being warm and it was room temp. Received bread and butter but no silverware. Service staff not organized or prepared for amount of people. Luckily, a young lady who was not our waitress, got what we needed. We saw our food was ready and getting cold. Understanding they were overwhelmed, gave them ample time but had to ask a waitress to bring us our food. Pizza was great but a bit under done. The seafood pasta dish was amazing and enough for 2. Desert was good. Will give them another try when they aren't so busy.
