Customer Reviews
Food is more expensive than nearby dining options, but is closer to restaurant-grade quality. Entrees are consistently good, and the dessert menu is a unique addition among West Campus dining halls. Great atmosphere similar to an upscale diner, with clear views of both the kitchen and the street no matter which seat you choose. Very friendly staff. Water, napkins, and utensils are all self-serve from a table at the back. Water glasses are a bit too small, so I had to get up mid-meal frequently.
If you have excess dining hall money, or want a higher quality meal, Cultivate is a great option! Also a fun place to go with friends. I really enjoyed my food here both times. Bustling, upbeat environment with a order at the counter system. They also have long tables for groups to eat together! If getting french fries, I recommend getting their house made ranch as well. They also have dessert options, I really liked the cheesecake. Keep in mind prices are steeper than your average dining hall, but quality is much better. I personally wouldn’t order a steak here though.
First off- i had the steak (medium rare), and it was great. came with a spicy herb sauce and golden potatoes on the side which were a solid 10/10 for me. I also split two desserts with my friend: the tiramisu and the berry tart. the tiramisu was genuinely amazing, better than stuff i’ve had elsewhere- 11/10. berry tart was good, but won’t be getting again unless i’m craving it in particular. tasted a lot like cherry cobbler. 8/10. overall, i’m gonna go here more often. it’s the best dining experience i’ve had with HFS and i’m sad it took me two years to finally come here.
This is a decent place for a campus dining. Their menu changes quarterly. The quality of the dish varies depends on who is cooking at that time. The service can be slow at a time. I like their burgers, fish and chips, and salad. I had chowder this time and it was good. Street parking only.
Please don't get the steak. Just don't do that to yourself, you don't deserve it. I ordered a ribeye (28$ mind you) and asked for it to be done medium. When I received my food, it seemed as if they didn't listen as my "steak" was charred and over cooked, far past well done. The steak was dry and terribly difficult to consume and I'm surprised they even sell the product. But then again, it's an HFS "restraunt" so don't expect anything. Don't waste your time and money here, the ave offers better options at lower prices.
