Arguably the best double cheeseburger in South East Iowa! Fries are good as well. Old school cafe with all around good food and prices that are refreshing this day and age.

I had the roast beef sandwich, my mom had the pot roast special, and my stepdad had the tenderloin. It was all fantastic and the service was prompt and friendly. Lovely country cozy atmosphere. Very fair prices. Will be coming again. They don’t accept credit cards, but there is an atm inside.

As this place is almost always busy I knew it would be good. It didn't disappoint. The staff was super friendly. I had the large tenderloin and fries. It was very good. My son had the chicken fried steak with hash browns and eggs. And he said it was very good. Very reasonable price. Will be back.

CASH ONLY. ATM on site. This is a small and quaint family friendly diner with only a few complaints from me. The staff was friendly and attentive. This diner is so lovely that I feel bad for giving anything but a positive review; however the food called for it, unfortunately. I came on a weekday morning and ordered the special: chicken fried steak with potatoes and eggs. The gravy was far too sweet and not at all rich, flavorful, or seasoned like gravy should be. When I say sweet I mean the SWEETEST gravy I’ve tasted west of the Mississippi all the way to the coasts of the PNW. The chicken was spongy and the breading wasn’t crispy either. This spot has a lot of potential, and I’m confident their other dishes are stellar!
