We were in town to visit family but stopped in here because Neil's donuts was closed. The wait was a little long but the staff was friendly and quick. We both got the biscuits and gravy specials and the stuffed french toast with walnuts. The food was amazing we cleared our plates some of the best breakfast we've had in a long time!

This is a simple hole in the wall kind of place. Nothing fancy, but everything seemed clean. The seats were comfortable. It wasn’t chic or cool or anything, but for what it was, the atmosphere was perfect. No frills decor but that’s fine. Being our first time at this place, my husband asked the waitress what was good at the restaurant. She suggested the homemade corned beef hash so we both ended up getting it. It was so good!! Omg!!! I also opted for grits instead of home fries because you don’t often see grits on menus in ct. They must have been made with milk (or maybe cream). I’ve only made them with water. They were unlike any grits I’ve ever had - so rich. It was delicious but it was a lot. (I’ll order more wisely next time.) Speaking of ordering, I knocked off a star on service bec

I live close by and decided I would try it. I normally go to Scotty's or Center Street for breakfast. I ordered the same breakfast I order anywhere, 3 eggs Sunnyside, home fries and wheat toast. The portions were extremely small as far as home fries, the toast was soggy and overall not very tasty. What really set me aback was the cost. It was $14.69 which first of all was about $4 higher for a lot less food. I understand higher prices BUT eggs are now back to normal prices and I'm sorry the food was just not very good and it takes some effort or lack of caring to have a basic breakfast taste so blah especially when combined with much higher prices and MUCH LESS home fries, they added nothing added to home fries either. I wish them the very best, I hope that they can turn their business int

I havent been here i a while but i used to think it was great. Maybe 2 years ago or so. So its been a while. It must have changed hands. They used to have huge plates of really good food that you could bring home it appears things have changed. Prices are high everywhere so one would expect fresh food and good portions. Not anymore. They still have signs upon entry that they are still charging 1 dollar extra for every egg. why? Nobody else is doing it. The roll for my egg sandwich was falling apart because it was not fresh. I mean toast it a little bit to hide the unfreshness. The bacon was not really crispy and the fried eggs were small. Some of the food must have been prepared earlier in the day. The potatoes were hard and also not fresh. All together i paid over 30 dollars with tip for

I am happy to share this hideaway diner located in Wallingford CT. I recently took a trip to visit family and friends and was hoping for a place that was capable of handling my morning appetite but with a fair price, and this place did not disappoint. My partner and I order the same meal (God knows I need more grits in my life and so he provided that too!) The Western omelets were amazing, beautiful in presentation (as far as.l omelets go) and not greasey or soggy. Downside is the potatoes were limited it seems and it took what I feel to be a little long for our food but, I understand breakfast diners are busy on Sundays. From personal experience as a cook and server at diners etc I find that this place has the best food in the Wallingford area when it comes to breakfast! Can't wait to.vis
