First time having a meal here and I loved everything about it from the decor to the food. We had the Clam Chowder to start off and were pleasantly satisfied. For entrees, we chose the Steak and Shrimp dinner with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts, and the Pan Seared Sea Bass over rice with roasted broccoli. Both meals were outstanding in flavor and presentation. Portions were decent. For dessert, we tried the Chocolate Motherload Cake and the Carmel Pecan Butter Cake and oh.my.goodness were they delicious. I look forward to going back to try different menu options, so many I want to try. Great atmosphere.

I haven't been to a claim jumper steakhouse in over 30 years. I went today with my follower to celebrate his 87th birthday. I found the decor to be a pretty cool looking restaurant pretty large. I found the waiter not very personable and I found the food to be not fresh tasting. I wasn't alone in this thinking either. I was happy they had some gluten-free options. My dad did get a piece of cake with a candle so that was nice. Not sure I'll ever make back for another visit unless Dad insists.

Despite the fact that my wife and I have been making fun of the name of this restaurant for years (due to her bad eyesight reading the name as "Clam Jumper", kicking off years of terrible jokes), we'd never dined here before this last weekend, when we were invited to celebrate our friend's birthday here. Not knowing what to expect, the end result was us being happily surprised with just about everything, from start to finish. Other than a somewhat aloof and inattentive server, who also seemed to disappear for long stretches at the worst possible time, things were smooth and pleasant. My wife and I ordered drinks and entrees, which arrived in the correct order, and at expected times. My wife had the salmon oscar, whereas I went with the sliders, as I wasn't feeling particularly hungry, and

Took my wife there for Valentines day. She ordered the tri tip and lobster claw. She ordered it medium. It came out almost rare. She usually doesn't send anything back. But for the price. She asked for them to bring back a medium one. When it came back it was well done and chewy like it was just put it in the microwave. I had the ribs. They were just warm. But, since they tasted good I let it slip. She did enjoy the lobster claw very much. Last time we were there was in 2012 for her birthday. Was a little disappointed for a dinner that was over $100.00.

***UPDATE 2/12/2026*** I have included the email I sent in response to the response I received on this post. I will include their response if, or when I receive it. Highly disappointed in this cake! I've been going to Claim Jumpers since they opened and the cake I had tonight was not the same as before. Instead of it being a 6 layer with thick frosting in between the layers, we got a 7 layer cake with next to no frosting in between. There was also maybe 10 pieces of nuts on the outside. The cake itself was dry and is clearly out of a box, not homemade. The picture is after 3 of us each tried a layer. Such a disappointing experience for my 8 year olds first time trying it. On top of that, we were brought out the end scrap of ribs as a portion, and the rack we got has clearly been reheated
