Henako Chicken Rice

PHENOMENAL!! I was stopping at the post office here in Tigard today (January 17th, 2026) and much to my surprise I noticed a food truck between the post office and the wine shop next door! I snagged one of their menus, asked the chef running it how late they'd be open, and then sat down to look at the menu while sitting on the bench a ways away from the shop. The prices already looked great (generally around $10~15 for most dishes), but it was the aroma wafting down to where I was sitting that *really* pulled me in. For the month of January they're apparently giving out a complimentary Thai tea or some kind of dessert with your purchase (I'm not sure what kind of dessert, I hadn't asked), so I was handed a Thai tea when I paid for my order. It was easily the best Thai tea I've ever had and

TERRIFIC THAI FOOD Scrumptious pork krapao and fantastic Khao man gai. We loved everything we got here and found the curry to be uniquely tasty. Papaya salad I ordered as a 3 and it was “American” spicy, but not Thai spicy. This fella was working solo the night I came and I had to be patient for my food to be ready. My husband LOVED the food and said it’s the best Thai he has had in Portland. We’ve added it to our takeout list and are already looking forward to next visit.

I will 100% be back, you NEED to try this food truck!! I got the Khao Moo Krob (crispy pork belly, Chinese sausage, cucumber and hard boiled egg with a sesame sauce on the side). Absolutely delicious. I also received a free Thai tea - one of the best I’ve ever had, it actually has flavor vs just being plain black tea. The owner is so incredibly nice as well. Stoked about my experience and can’t wait to try more items! It’s right next to the Tigard post office on Main Street and was really easy to access and find parking.

Tasty food and good prices! I got an order of the crispy chicken rice with a Thai tea which were all very good. The owner was very kind. I will be back!

So good and the owner is so nice! Had the classic chicken rice and the strawberry Thai tea. Can't wait to come back and try another dish. There's seating and a little table right next to the truck so you can eat there 🙂
