CJ's American Grill

Stopped here after leaving Greenport last Wednesday because nothing was open. What a great find! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. We had the French onion soup, grilled chicken sandwich, and Reuben sandwich. They were all excellent!

CJ’s is so under the radar. The food is great, the service is always nice and it’s a friendly vibe. The fish tacos were delicious with a Santa Fe sauce that was great. They even accommodated my request for crispy fries. Danielle was an excellent server. We’re local, but I recommend CJ’s to anyone looking for a relaxing meal that won’t break the bank in Mattituck.

What an amazing find! We had purchased the East End Hospice Coupon Book each year, and a coupon for this restaurant was in the book. My wife and I were not familiar with this restaurant, as we live on the South Fork. We wanted to try something different for us, so we made the trip to Mattituck. We couldn't have been more pleased with the food and service. Our server, Barbara, was extremely friendly and helpful, answering all of our questions about the menu and making recommendations. We started with the CJ's chopped salad. This salad was big enough for two people to share (with leftovers to take home as well!) If you’re going out east to pick apples or pumpkin picking do yourself a favor and come visit this establishment. I found this gem on Google maps. This was my 4th visit and let me tell you the food and customer service is always on point. We’ve tried the ribs, the nachos, the salmon and the roasted chicken, to name a few. The burgers are really good too (I’m just never fast enough to take a picture of them). The food always comes out pipping hot. The staff is always nice. This is our favorite spot to go eat after a fun day out in the farms.

Thank you for my first, genuine Long Island Ice Tea! I truly enjoyed my experience at CJ's American Grill, Sandra was an amazing bartender with a quick wit, and generous with the liquor. The food was tasty and fresh, the fries had a dusting of Old Bay Seasoning (my favorite), and the atmosphere was open, warm and welcoming. Check out the wine selection! Look how much bacon they threw on my sandwich! You'll like it here.
