City Food Equipment - Lombard, IL - New & Used Restaurant Equipment & Kitchen Supply Store

I cannot say enough about how helpful the young lady at the counter was today. They do not carry cases of parchment paper anymore but she was able to speak with her manager and special order some for me. I have been a customer since we moved to Lombard in 1987, first when it was Schweppes and now as City Food Equipment. Love their chef quality stainless steel pots and pans. They have lasted so long and I am hard on my cookware. The fancy expensive brands are simply not durable for someone like me.

This place was amazing. Not only did they have everything you could want for a restaurant but also had a knowledgeable staff. The lady we talked to was a ray of sunshine and her enthusiasm matched her knowledge. I can't wait until I give an excuse to go back!

DO NOT, I REPEAT, NO, DON’T BUY OR RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I rented a commercial fryer from this company for the food festival over the weekend. When I came to use it the day of, it didn’t work. I called my sales guy numerous times and left numerous emails addressing this failure and costing me thousands of dollars refunding my customers’ orders since it didn’t work. They tried to claim the fryer was working and that I was lying. When I spoke to the manager, he said he could offer a slight discount. They offered no responsibility and left me stranded on a busy event day. I was forced to pay top dollar buying a fryer last minute to carry on. I dropped the fryer back off to them the following day, and they didn’t want to even let me test it with their technicians. I got a call the f

Ordered parts and had a problem with the blade fitting. I sent the parts back and they sent parts back in a timely fashion.

The team at City food saved the day when one of my fryers went down during the afternoon rush. They had one delivered to me within a few hours. The young men that delivered my new fryer were very courteous and knowledgeable of the product. Sales team, management and the delivery team, thank you again for your quick response, patience and understanding during one of my most difficult times! City Food Equipment saved the day!!
