Chuck Wagon Restaurant

An absolute staple of downtown Wilmette that never disappoints. Been coming here for nearly 20 years, and the Bomber is just as good as now as it was when I was in middle school. I always make a point to stop in when I’m visiting family in town, and without fail I’m greeted with a smile and a “great to see you again.”

The Chuck Wagon is a little place in downtown Wilmette I have been eating at since I was a child.It was great to have lunch here today!! Brought back so many good memories!!! We enjoyed burgers and fries and great people!

What a great spot. In town for a few weeks working. Have stopped in here 3 times in 2weeks to eat. Make sure you try the Niki or the Waitress Special. The Niki is A Cheeseburger with Gyro meat on top. The Waitress is a grilled Cheese with Gyro meat on top. And of course the Gyros are amazing!!! Definitely drop in and take a seat and enjoy the atmosphere, the food, and the company. Tony is a master with his Carousel of meat. Try the local hot sauce also.

Holy crap. This is such an absolute gem of a dive. The double cheeseburger (with everything) was the best I’ve had in a long while. The chicken strips were phenomenal. And you couldn’t ask for a better feel in such a small space. The walls are plastered with history and homages. 10/10, can’t wait to come back.

Brayden said we were going to McDonald’s And when I got out of the car and saw this place I promptly pointed out that it wasn’t a McDonalds but we ate there anyway and omg it was so good, the food was pretty pricey like 7 dollar burgers but so worth it. Some of the best diner food I’ve ever ate and the guy working was awesome, amazingly nice guy and took the experience from a 10/10 to a 11/10. In total we got a hotdog, onion rings, two fries, 3 burgers, a gyro, a Nutella milk shake, and the bomber which is like a gyro sandwich with some toppings. The food was simple but delicious.
