Chubby's Tacos

I love their $2 Tuesday Taco specials I always get about 15 of them to feed myself and the family. They are always nice at check out some customers aren’t very friendly but hey, It’s Durham we’re talking about lol I love them. A month or so ago the tacos were messy and not very filled but the past 3 weeks I’ve been they’ve been excellent great for the price and very filling to my belly. The pico is awesome it’s always almost gone when I get there, I go later at night. The guacsalsa is also great!

Decent quick taco lunch/dinner stop. Food was great, service was good as well. Chicken tacos and fish tacos were my favorite. Cleanliness left a little more to be desired, tables were bit sticky. Overall would definitely go again for quick lunch just for food and service alone.

Ordered a chicken fajita taco salad, barbacoa enchiladas and a single carne asada taco. The salad came with flour tortillas instead of in a fried taco shell. The portions for the salad were beyond small. The enchiladas were cold and the queso was thin and bland. The barbacoa tasted like it came out of a premade package. No one asked if i wanted corn or flour tortilla for my street taco. The salsa bar was the reason I rated food 2 stars those options were nice. The service was non existent. I asked the gentleman for a utensil for the limes only for him to walk away and I used a plastic fork. This experience was a little disappointing. Spent $30 for $12 worth of food. Chubby’s has some of the best barbacoa tacos I’ve ever had—so flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend!

Great neighborhood taco/burrito joint with good prices, good food, plenty of seating, great salsa. They also have a bar for margaritas, etc. Feels like fast food done really well. Plenty of yummy gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options so you don't have to feel sorry for yourself when you catch a quick bite with omnivore friends and family.
