We were able to dine in right before closing. I am glad we did. We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere is nice. The curry shrimp with chicken fried rice was on point with great flavor and cooked perfectly. The ribs were good too. The egg fu young had nice flavor, but it was a little heavy on the batter and could’ve used more actual egg. Other than that, everything hit the spot.

The food here is always fresh and top notch. Vegetables are fresh. The hot and sour soup is hands down the very best. Excellent moo soo with a nice chargrilled flavor. The service is friendly. The atmosphere is typical Chinese joint, whis is not so much my style but it is comfortable. Parking is easy. Prices are reasonable.

China Orchid was a comforting, low-key spot when I was craving something familiar in New Orleans. The atmosphere was simple and relaxed — nothing fancy, but clean and welcoming. The dishes came out hot and flavorful. I tried a classic combo with fried rice, and it was satisfying and well-portioned. The sauces had that comforting, traditional taste you expect, and everything felt freshly made. Overall, it’s a dependable neighborhood Chinese restaurant — straightforward, filling, and perfect for a casual meal when you want something easy and comforting.

This is a wonderful place to come eat. You want to try Asian Cuisine than this place is for you. They have great seating , and a Bar. We were greeted right away. And we were allowed to pick were we wanted to sit down. The wait staff were very friendly and service was very fast. The food was hot and super tasty. We had the sampler platter for 2. Also fried pot stickers. It was enough for for 3 to have a light lunch. But the menu looked so good I almost ordered a bigger plate. We were visiting from Texas for our son goes to college here. We will definitely come back. Also when you come here it is limited parking. China orchid has some spots for there restaurant you don't have to pay. But if you are parking any 9thet place you will need to pay at kiosk by the street. It's min 30 mins for $1

If you're looking for great Chinese food at a reasonable price you'll love this place. Some friends and I ate here today and love it. I read all the reviews and I'm pleased to say IT'S ALL TRUE!!! We had Susan as our server and she exuded excellent service. Her drinks were made to perfection and served along with a perfect smile. The food was perfect and we can't repeat that enough.
